Map (1)While we continue to push to include sexual orientation and gender identity in our state’s civil rights laws, unprecedented momentum is building to protect LGBT Hoosiers at the local level too.

That’s where supporters like you come in!

Freedom Indiana is committed to passing non-discrimination laws in as many Indiana municipalities as possible—and to do it, we’re going to need your help.

Local nondiscrimination ordinances have been enacted in more than a dozen Indiana cities and counties, but much of our state still lacks these basic protections, a reality exposed by the recent fallout from the RFRA debacle.

Not only do local nondiscrimination ordinances protect LGBT Hoosiers where they live and work, but they also send a strong message to employers and prospective residents that a city is inclusive and welcoming. That’s a powerful economic development recruitment tool.

It’s good for business—and it’s the right thing to do. But, these local ordinances aren’t going to pass themselves.

It will take Hoosiers like us rolling up our sleeves and ensuring that the policies of our communities reflect our values.

With folks like you on our side, I know we can do lots of incredible work to ensure that Hoosiers in every corner of our state are protected from discrimination.
