The 2017 legislative session is still months away, but things are already heating up at the Indiana Statehouse.
On Tuesday, August 30 at 9 am, state lawmakers will convene an Interim Study Committee with the sole purpose of hearing firsthand from Hoosiers about why LGBT non-discrimination protections matter in Indiana.
This hearing is our strongest chance yet to make the case to lawmakers that Indiana needs LGBT civil rights protections. That’s why we’re inviting you to meet us at the Statehouse on Tuesday and make your voice heard.
It’s incredibly important that LGBT Hoosiers and allies stand before lawmakers on Tuesday to make their case for fairness. Our stories are the key to enacting positive change. We need to be there in full force to pack the room so we can make it crystal clear to lawmakers: Hoosiers are more united than ever in support of LGBT protections.
If you can’t join us on Tuesday, you can still make your voice heard by emailing the lawmakers who will sit on this interim committee.
